The former "Dancing" beauty spills on becoming a movie star and her upcoming roles in "Burlesque" and "Footloose."

2010 CMAs: Julianne Hough Kristina: You look gorgeous. Julianne: Thank you so much. Kristina: Tell me about your dress. Julianne: Well this is called a topper for a cake that’s gothic. It’s a short shocker and Jimmy Choo shoes and some jewels. Kristina: I’m sure there are many guys out there that would love to have you as cake topper on their cake. Julianne: As long as it’s red velvet. We’re good. Kristina: I almost didn’t recognize you with this brunette do that you’re rocking here. Julianne: Yes. No, this was Footloose inspired, Miss Ariel and so yeah. I’ve been sporting it for like three months, but I’ve been like stuck in Atlanta. So nobody has seen it yet. So -- Kristina: Is it growing on you? Julianne: I mean yeah like this just goes normal now. So the fact that -- your hair like wow what’s on it, you know. So but no it’s great. Kristina: You look fantastic. Julianne: Thank you so much. Kristina: You are becoming a bona fide movie star. You’ve got Burlesque which I will be -- are you going to be there next week? Julianne: I will. Yeah. Kristina: I will be in the review for that. So I get to go see that on Friday. And then Footloose, how excited are you to be a part of this big movie? Julianne: Oh my gosh, it’s amazing. I mean Burlesque was wonderful because it was just such an amazing cast and ensemble to be a part of; and it really helped prepare me like launch me for you know the lead and something. So yeah Footloose was unbelievable, it really was a -- you know I feel like there was a lot pressure you know especially filming those big red boots. But the way that Craig Brewer, the director rewrote the script and adapted to our times, it was just -- I don’t know. I feel like I could really can on put my own choice on it and I’m so excited for everybody to see it. Everything that I’ve seen so far it’s just like “Oh my gosh this is amazing.” Kristina: It can be a cult classic already. Julianne: I hope so. It’s going to be another iconic movie for this generation. Kristina: I like that. Plus you’re also working on your second country album your which first country. It’s fantastic. It’s going to be tough to beat but you can do it. Julianne: Oh you’re so sweet, I love you, can I just take you home and just have you all the time? Kristina: Yeah sure. Julianne: No. Yeah so the second album we’re not sure when it’s going to come out but I’m done with it and you know we’re just waiting for the time to promote it and give it time that it deserve so. Kristina: There’s something fantastic about Nashville. Tell me about why you love it here. Julianne: Oh my gosh. It’s like you know like you’re in L.A. or New York and then you fly in. and you just land about when you land in Nashville it’s like way it’s like off your shoulder’s you could just be like normal, go to Cracker Barrel, go to Walmart you know. You have your hair in a ponytail this high. And no makeup and just relax. Kristina: I love it that you go to Cracker Barrel and Walmart. Julianne: Again, why not? They got the best biscuits and gravy.
