2010 GMC Terrain Car Review GMC has survived the general motors chopping block and along with an all new Chevy Equinox for 2010 comes a GMC version known as the Terrain a 5-passenger crossover. Under 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine that features direct injection is expected to deliver best in segment highway fuel economy of 32 MPG. Maximum fuel economy is achieved in part with an eco mode that is activated via a console mounded button. When engaged, it lowers the torch converter lock up speed to help save fuel on models equipped with this engine. A 3-liter duo overhead can directed injected V6 delivering 264 horsepower. Both engines are into 6 feet automatic transmissions. Front wheel drive and all wheel drive models are offered in SLE and SLT trim levels. The power trains are mounded on a rigid body integral structure and tended to give the Terrain a confident driving experience that is both smooth and responsive. GMC’s first application of active cancellation technology is used on 2.4 liter equipped models. ANC uses microphones to detect booming sounds inside the vehicle and sends counteracting sound wave through the audio system speakers and sharing a quiet driving experience that almost all vehicle speeds. The terrain rides on a 112.5 inch wheel base and features a 4-wheel independent suspension with wide front and rear tracks designed to enhance ride and handling. A family of 17, 18, and 19-inch is available. Base front drive models start at around $25,000.00 while well equipped all wheel drive models top out above the mid 30s.
