2011 Buick Regal Car Review For 2011, Buick revives the Regal name and puts it on a sport Sedan and they claimed as like nothing you’ve ever experienced from this brand. Known more for its octogenarian drivers, Buick’s modern car revival started last year with the all-new Lacrosse. That car is a beauty with the softest American type brand you’ll find in the market, blended with hone driver controls and a luxury style. The Regal is designed to be on the other end of the spectrum offering a European tune chassis with turbo charged horsepower. A Buick Sports Sedan for today, having already been on sale in China and in Europe for over a year now, the Regal comes to our shores be at German development at GM’s Opel division though our car will eventually be built in Canada. The Regal aims to bring European inspire performance capabilities to the American market. Initially available in one trim, the Regal CXL standard power will be provided by GM’s 2.4-liter eco-tech direct injection 4-cylinder making 182 horsepower. A two-liter turbo rated at 220 horsepower will soon follow with an available 6-speed manual transmission. How about that for Buick? And the turbo will also offer driver selectable suspension settings. This sounds serious. A 6-speed auto is standard on both models. The base engine will achieve about 30 mpg highway. Buick pits the Regal against the likes of the accurate TSX and Volvo S60 though it’s 107.8 into wheelbase is slightly longer that those two. That will provide greater rear legroom and more trunk space. The new era of Buick design is carried over inside with firm highly bolstered seats, smart technologies and rich materials lending an international flair. Pricing for the Regal CXL starts $26,995.00 while the CXL turbo begins at $29,495.00. For Drive Time on Yahoo Autos, I’m Steve Hammes.
