2011 Honda Odyssey Review Here’s some really good news for families with kids. The all new 2011 Honda Odyssey is here and up to 8 passenger mini-van with expanded dimensions better anything but many. Longer, wider and yet a significantly reduce curb weight, the Odyssey’s passenger volume is up as is its fuel economy rated as high as 19 mpg city and 28 highway. That’s class leading thanks in part to the Odyssey’s 3.5 liter i-VTEC V6 with variable cylinder management. This system can drop down only four or even three cylinders when power requirements are low. The new 6 speed automatic transmission is also a crucial part of this economy equation available only on the top touring trims. All other Odyssey models come standard with a 5 speed auto, horsepower is rated at 258 but a stellar minivan not only drives well and uses its gas sufficiently. It becomes a Swiss army knife for the whole family and the Odyssey’s new three mode second row seating enhance its comfort and convenience by providing the ability to extend the distance between the seats by up to one and a half inches inch, the second row middle seat now has the ability to move forward which brings child seats with in a more convenient reach of the first row. The third mode can transform the middle seat into an armrest with beverage holders and center tray for electronic devices and to stay entertained the DVD rear entertainment system has a huge 16.2 inch wide screen and even packs an HD in my input on the touring elite model with 7 trim levels the Odyssey has a price point for everyone starting at $28,580 including destination for a base LX and rising to over $44,000 for unbelievably stock touring elite.
