2011 Suzuki Swift Car Review

Get up close and personal with the new 2011 Suzuki Swift compact car, the fourth generation of this car.

Female Speaker: For over 25 years, the Suzuki Swift have been keeping things moving in the small car sector. With it's impressive design it's easy to manage driving characteristics and it's economical engines, it is firmly established itself in the popular B segment of cars. From 2005, Suzuki sold just under 1.7 million of the previous generation of cars, nearly 1/3rd in Europe alone. The 4th generation of the Suzuki Swift is now out to continue this success story. The new Swift, like the previous model, is produced at the Hungarian plant in Esztergom. The design concept bears the genes of the previous model, the 4th generation, and just as sporty and charming as ever. The Swift is grown especially with respect to it's link. An entire 9 centimeters to be exact, it now measures 3 meters 85 in length. The width and height are nearly the same only a couple of millimeters difference. The deep trunk of the car holds 210 liters. The rear seats fold forward expanding the load capacity to 902 liters. The sporty charisma of the body design is all three pluck down the inside of the new Swift. The Cockpit and Dash have a fresh and modern touch. Despite the playful styling, the controls are still comfortable to use. The radio and air-conditioning can be adjusted from the steering wheel, or the center console and are easy to understand and adjust. All in all, the Swift is extremely spacious and comfortable. At market launch, the Suzuki Swift will be offered with a choice of one Gasolene and one Diesel engine, both in compliance with the Euro V Standard. The gasolene unit is a completely newly developed four cylinder with 1.2 liters of displacement and 94 horsepower. 1.3 liter common wheel four cylinders generate 75 horsepower. The average fuel consumption for the gasolene engine is claimed to be 5 liters for 100 kilometers, the diesel requires 4.2 liters a fuel to cover that distance. The gasolene version is available in three trim lines; Basic, Club, and Comfort. Market launch for the Swift is set for mid September.
