33 Dead in Brazilian Highway Crash
A large semi-trailer truck and a passenger bus crashed head-on early on Saturday (December 3) in Brazil's northeast region, killing at least 33 people. Police said the truck driver lost control of the vehicle as he was heading down a hill after making a turn on a three-lane highway near the city of Milagres in Bahia state. Authorities said the bus wasn't registered by the organization that regulates public transportation and was traveling with a permit given by Brazilia's Justice.
