See if American Tradition paint lives up to its "one coat coverage" claim.

American Tradition Paint Let me just say that I think it’s a little weird to get excited about paint. I mean, we’ve all heard the expression, it’s about as exciting as watching paint dry, right? It just tends to be a product and process that we like to get through as quickly as possible. I mean even a pros I know go to a happy place in their head when there are on a job. With that said, can I just tell you that I got really excited when I use some American tradition brand paint recently? I know it’s goofy but its true and the reason is simple. It did with a label say it would. Go figure, a product that does with the sales materials says. I was shocked, it covered in one coat and not only did it cover in one coat. It covered a much darker color in one coat. And it was something I thought you'd like to know about. I discovered this phenomenal while repainting a wall, it’s been a need of a touchup for more than a year. I rolled on a coated with this tan color one afternoon and covered the rest of the paint in the trade, sure. I would have to come back the next day for second coat. Nope and here’s the kicker. I decided to put the paint to the real test and use the roller and tray from the day before but of course, I washed them out but not well. Anyway, I used the semi-clean tools on an adjacent room. This means the paint got slightly water down as I applied it. Now I realized, you're not supposed to do that but who follows the all the rules anyway. The point is very seldom does paint get use in prime conditions which is where they come up with all those sales materials from those conditions. For this paint to work in, what I would consider everyday situations is nothing less than remarkable. I thought, you'd want to know.
