An Interview with Deastro

Description

Deastro chatted with Baeble in an exclusive interview about the transfiguration of their lo-fi, home recorded electronica sound and its adjustment to a grander, collective live show, the concert experience and that necessary connection with an audience.

An Interview with Deastro Male: My ideal show, I’d say like from Mark. It’s easier where he doesn’t have nervous breakdown. Mark: In don’t have nervous breakdown. I just – I get scared sometimes, that’s bad. Male: Yeah, like when you are in the show and you’re friends are there, like my ideal show is like we’re this like the right amount of like people that you don’t know. If there’s one person in the front row like smiling really big from the stuff that either you’ve said or thrown at them, or you know like whatever and they just play to get it, you know like and it’s like, oh, that’s sweet. It makes me so happy and that’s like the show. This is album like -- we wrote it like, we wrote and recorded it like say in last than two weeks. We record it in three days, like it come like hooks and like the verses and stuff like that, all done like the lyrics and stuff like that finished. And some other more than that depending on the song, and then like day other parts over it. So it’s been way more clever than the thing I’ve ever done. A lot of people say we sound a lot different live and given an album. A lot of people really hated like when I had been to it like don’t — either recorded everything else in the basement so the head like is like, you know with sound, you know we just decide and think than eight track bounces into pro tools, you know. And so, a lot of people like did my hip in, a lot of like from what we’ve heard from the views and stuff like that, like it seems like people are receptive to it. I wanted to do some people play. I want our music to be where people’s time. I want the lyrics and the music and what we’re about to reflect something a little bit deeper than just to us like, you know learning easy that it has and stuff like that. I wanted to do something that’s — I want people to – music to me like, is this like this community thing. Like I come here and I'm so excited to be here. I'm so excited to meeting people to trade ideas of people and I just feel like, that’s what we were looking forward, just to share and you know work what we believed in which is just people, you know — essentially is we all are at this. It’s all we are. . Hi and we are Deastro from Detroit, Michigan here with Baeblemusic.
