Stockholm, Sweden is a beautiful city with a very rich and long architectural history. Some of the oldest parts of the town date as far back as the 13th century. Houses, shops and government buildings all are designed in a particular way unique to Sweden. Throughout Stockholm, the architectural styles can be seen of all the years since its birth. The city features many well preserved examples of medieval Gustavian and Swedish Grace Styles of architecture. In winter, the snow that often blankets Stockholm gives the city a whole new look.
