Sharon discusses when she first discovered she has asthma and she felt.

Asthma Diagnosis - Sharon's Story Hi, I am Sharon, and I’d like to tell you about my experiences with asthma. I was diagnosed by my allergist that I was suffering from symptoms of asthma. At that particular time I was having a difficult time with allergies and sinus infections, and so this was about ten years ago when I moved from Tucson to Phoenix and started seeing an allergist because of constant sinus infections. I went through a series of skin tests to determine what I was allergic to and found out that most of what I was tested for, I was allergic to, and so then an androgen was prepared for me, and I received weekly injections. At this point of my life, which is about ten years later, I am doing very, very well. My allergies are under control, which is I am very thankful for. So there are certain seasons of the year that I go through difficult times, but when those seasons, when I am aware of what those seasons are, and then I know how to prepare for them based on my prior experiences. My problem why I was diagnosed with asthma where the rest of my family was not, I think because I had so many sinus infections, and it’s just like the constant draining, and then I had some lung infections along the way, and I’ve had pneumonia. So I think that weakened my lungs in that respect. So I think that’s why.
