Beautiful Stranger with Fashion Designer Erin Fetherston Question: Name? Erin Fetherston: I’m Erin Fetherston. Question: Occupation? Erin Fetherston: I'm a fashion designer. Question: Home? Erin Fetherston: I live in New York City. Question: Inspiration for today’s show? Erin Fetherston: This collection is really fantasy driven. I really wanted to do something that was light and airy, and very fresh and fun for spring. Question: Favorite piece? Erin Fetherston: I'm really in love with all the finale gowns. They’re full of color and bubbly volumes and feathers and fall green. It’s really very fun. Question: Signature? Erin Fetherston: I think the signature is the air and feathers to the dress. It’s the little dress like it goes day to evening, the little party dress. Question: First favorite dress? Erin Fetherston: My purple tutu when I was four years old, when I begged my mother to enroll me in ballet classes. I was only there for the tutu. I got my tutu when I dropped out anyway but I wore that tutu like everyday. Question: Wearing? Erin Fetherston: This is an Erin Fetherston dress. It’s kind of a classic for me. Question: Casual look? Erin Fetherston: I love to wear really easy dresses in the day, in the summertime, just put it with flip flops and more in the winter, stick with the easy dress but combine it with tights and ballet flats and good coats. Question: Top shops? Erin Fetherston: My favorite store in New York is —. It's really fantastic boutique and they have lots of designers including Erin Fetherston. And they have really cool accessories they have all kinds of stuff. That’s in SoHo, it’s quite a good store. Question: Beauty? Erin Fetherston: I love Bobbi Brown cosmetics. And Bobbi is actually here doing the makeup for our shows so I couldn’t be more excited about that. Question: Who cuts your hair? Erin Fetherston: I actually cut my own. And then when I really need a full haircut, I go to my hair dresser in Paris, David. Question: Local restaurants you love? Erin Fetherston: Broadway East which I love which is very organic and it’s really a cool place. Question: Favorite drink? Erin Fetherston: Champagne. Question: Free time? Erin Fetherston: I like to spend time with my Fiancé Cuddy and our dog and just kind of relax with friends. Question: Music? Erin Fetherston: You’re getting here some CocoRosie, timberline and 2 for this. Question: Going green? Erin Fetherston: I don’t own a car. And I walk a lot. And I got an absolutely consensus of the green movement because Willy Fantisca has also been working its way into fashion.
