Description

Transcript
Fran Peros: Fran Peros, I've been a survivor for four years. I just had mammogram yesterday, and when they tell you okay, you're free to go, meaning you can go on put on your clothes and leave. You're the happiest in the world. I have the kind you cannot detect by mammogram, I mean by feeling, but I have the kind that you’ve had to have a mammogram to see. I had a child in the 7th grade and a very supportive husband. It was the day I found out, the day before Thanksgiving and of course, I was having 15 people to dinner the next day. I said, okay, I went to bed and that made dinner. And afterwards when people say how are things going? Well, I told them that it was a not a bad trip, so for me I didn’t have to have chemotherapy just radiation. And I had the support of group of people. Pam, I talk to Pam, you talk to people who has have it and you get it through it that way, you have to find out who the good doctors are, what happens when you go to radiation, etcetera. And everybody that I knew that gets it, I tell them to read Susan Love’s Breast book, because I can still think that’s the number one thing. Because the more information you have, the more empowered you will feel to cure your cancer.
