Certified Data Notebook Review

GC host Mike Agerbo takes a look at the Certified Data Notebook from London Drugs.

Certified Data Notebook Review Laptops are great. They are basically your office no matter where you go, but sometimes you don’t always want to log this thing around and Smart phones are great, but you’re not going to be doing spreadsheets or entering any long emails. There’s a new class of notebook computers and as you can see they’re a lot smaller, but still packed quite a punch. This is from certified data. You can pick them up at your local computer department at London Drugs, and these are 10-inch model. This has got a bright 10-inch screen here and this got a nice size keyboard as well. Typically in this category, they range the size from 9 to 10-inches. I like the 10-inch models better myself personally just because I guess I’ve got bigger fingers and I find the keyboards are a lot nicer size. It’s got all the traditional things you look for in the notebook computer. It’s got a 160-gig hard drive so lots of room for storing all your programs and your files. It even has a 1-gigabyte of RAM on board. This one is running the Intel Atom chip which most of these types of notebooks are running now. And it even has a built-in wireless internet access too, a wireless BNG so you get that full high-speed internet capability plus the compatibility as well. This one got a Bluetooth which is nice because you can bring along a wireless Bluetooth keyboard or mouse. You don’t have all the cables kicking above, and even it has a built-in webcam too so you can do video conferencing while you’re out and on the go. The size is amazing. This one coming in just a 1 or 1kilogram I believe and its got all the ports too so if you need to hook up any USB devices it’s got the ports on the side and as you can see over here I even have a built-in memory card reader. I’ve got the headphones jacks and also one for microphones and a VGA connector too so I can hook up and external monitor or a projector if I want too. And again the size is quite amazing. If I just compare this to this regular notebook you can see there is quite difference as far as the size and weight and you know, between you and I, I love taking around the smaller notebooks especially when I’m traveling I don’t have all that back screen anymore and when I’m done with my presentation or my work I can simply stick this thing in the pouch and I’m pretty well good to go to my next meeting or destination. Again, it’s a certified data notebook from London Drug. The 10-inch model, nice and it has keyboard and all the capabilities you want when you have your mobile office out on the road.
