By default, Windows XP uses a blue color scheme, sets a desktop wallpaper you may or may not like. Customizing your PC by changing the color scheme, window appearance and other elements to give it a look and feel you like is easy in Windows XP.

Today, I am going to show you how to change the theme in Windows. It’s just a couple of steps. So right click on the desktop, select Properties. And when it opens up, I’ll bring this down where you can see it. There is a Themes tab. Now, Windows comes with a number of themes and there are also other themes all over the internet that you can download. A theme changes not only the desktop wallpaper but the colors of Windows, some of the icons. And you can see they are number ones available here Aquarium, DaVinci, and Nature, Space. Let’s try Nature, so we’ll select Nature and then it will give you a preview here of what it will look like. So, we’ll click Apply. Now, you’re asked to wait while Windows, the new icons, the new background even new sounds are available in a theme. And then when Windows has finally loaded the entire theme, it will be visible on your computer. And already you can see my mouse cursor has turned into a little leaf as part of the Nature theme. You can see the Window colors have changed. We click OK. And that is all there is to it.
