My chicken pop pie takes away calories and its ton of nutrition and keeps that home made comfort appeal. So I cooked up about a pound and half of nice chicken breasts here just cut into choked seasoned it and cook it until it’s brown. And I have onions, carrots, celery all the classic flavors, going to add some green beans to that because I like to amp up the vegetables, its one the things that really make this pop pie so good for you. Garlic till that softens I'm going to get my sauce together wait till you see this because it’s an incredible creamy sauce and it has no cream. And my secret to that is using one percent low fat milk not skim because skim really doesn’t have that amp that I want. I'm going to thicken that up bring next secret ingredient here which is quarter cup of all purpose flour. I'm going to add a cup of low sodium chicken broth. I'm going to whisk that up and add that to my pan with those glorious colorful vegetables Let it come to a boil you can see it looks delicious and rich creamy but you don’t have any of the downside. All right now it’s going to come together. So I'm going to add the chicken right back to the pan, some more veggies. I love pea’s makes you feel like grandma’s chicken pop pie. On fresh time I just adore fresh herbs, its really one of the secret of healthy cooking. The aroma hits you right away. Some salt and pepper and I'm just going to put this into you're baking dish that I already sprayed. Look at that! Awesome I can eat just like this but it is even better if the most incredible drop this get topping. Half cup of holy flour, quarter cup of all purpose flour you get all the whole grain goodness you want but you still keep it nice and tender. Quarter teaspoon of salt, quarter teaspoon of baking soda any course of three score baking powder. Just going to give this a little pulse and mix it together. Can I'm getting butter to this and don’t worry the nutrition is getting better but most crust have four times as a normal butter. We need to hold the butter in order to make it flakey because now were just going to add half a cup of butter milk. And butter milk is fat actually this bread buttering name. Two tablespoons of canola oil, holds this until it’s just combined. Right that is so simple and I love this because it’s so much easier than a rolled out crust. You know the great thing about this that it is save loads of calories because each person gets this but the crust isn’t covering the whole top. Whole grain is so much better for you has loads of anti-oxidants, fiber so you're getting all that goodness that you get in deep chicken pop pie sounds good to me. This just goes into the oven in 375 about 20 minutes for biscuits of flaking golden and the base is nice and bubbly. Look at this it smells so good that looks just fantastic. So I’m going to serve some up for myself here. Look at that! Whatever don’t tell him it’s healthy because they’ll never know.
