Classical pianist, Lang Lang, has a new live album and DVD out that is getting high praise from music lovers of all ages.

Classical Pianist Lang Lang Interview Audra Lowe: She’s made one of time magazines most influential people and it only 28 years old, Lang Lang is sold out some of the biggest concert venues in the world, well now he’s got a new live album and a DVD out that is getting high praise for music lovers of all ages take a look. Lang Lang live in Vienna is this Vienna prodigy’s debut recording with Sony Classical. Lang Lang: Vienna, the music which is translating the golden hall, it’s really an ideal place. It’s such a historic place plus the sound is really great. Audra Lowe: The multi-format release is part of Lang Lang’s commitment to reach new and especially younger audiences through innovative technology. Lang Lang: To combine those two fields together into one artistic work, it is really the most powerful that you can get, to working with the audio guys, the video guys, the 3D director, the concert defector it is a really fantastic life experience and it is a great that you know we try to discuss how they make music a perfect match to this technology. But the challenge is to find the right repertoire. As a classical musician we need to be focus on the chore classic work, but also find the new styles. Audra Lowe: Something that this artist accomplishes. Lang Lang: I believe they do need to have a few composers, have a bit of a musical journey and this is what I always trying to achieve in the live recital performances. And in this case fortunately it worked that’s what I think. Audra Lowe: And it’s what both audience and critics instinct. Lang Lang: It is almost like everytime you place some piece you are a calling somebody’s soul I mean the composers mind or soul or heart and you bring the moment back where there is from 10 years ago or from the future you know or from the past 200 years ago. Every time you are actually try to recreate a moment which already exist long time ago but everytime when to do something it is like a newborn baby, newborn look. Audra Lowe: His passion for playing is also how Lang Lang reaches a new generation of music listeners. Lang Lang: Sometimes young people concerns if that, oh classical music, no old culture and probably it is too old for me and it is not cool. It is like of real kind of live experience instead of speaking about through music and it is through you know the different chords and notes. Once the kids understand that then they are not really scared of listening or being involved. Audra Lowe: A great lesson for anyone afraid to embrace classical music. Lang Lang: When you listen to it, try to use your heart and try to be 100% in where is the musician, where the music and then I think you enjoy. Audra Lowe: Wow, Lang Lang hails from China.
