Emma Bartlett is a gregarious teen model and has invited Cambio Style come along for the ride as she goes from apartment to runway, letting us see the transformation from regular girl to supermodel. She takes us backstage as she cycles through hair and makeup and gets ready to walk the catwalk wearing some of the hottest new styles. We will get a bird’s eye view into a day in the life of a teen model in NYC.

Day In The Life/Emma Bartlett Emma Bartlett: Hi I’m Emma Bartlett and I’m 17 years old. I’m modeling part-time here in New York. My home is Vail, Colorado. I’m about to head to my job right now so I thought we’ve probably we will get all started. One of the most challenging things of fashion week and is it like the hours — it’s so crazy, so hectic. You wake up at first 6 a.m. call time you have to wake up at five to shower, counting time for transportation. I’m just going to get some water, you never know if they have like food there or drinks or anything but it’s always like good to be prepared. Another thing like it was the modeling industry it’s so like, it’s so last minute and so you never know like if you’re going to have a casting like right after you job. It’s like I saw on jobs that end up like 9:00, 9:30, and they’ll be like, oh you have a casting to go to and so tell me like “hurry your butt down there” and so it’s like you need your book, you need a pair of heels with you like at all times. The book is basically like — it’s like your portfolio of photos and you have a com card and basically you leave this with the client and it has your name and it has your agency and like your measurements like height and your eye color and your hair color so… This is like the most stressful part like trying to find how you’re going to get there. Can we go to 26th Routine, Tinson (ph), 11th please? Thank you. I started modeling when I was 14 actually I was hanging out in cross street and bolder with my friend on and the — this guy came up to me and he’s like have you ever thought about modeling? I was like — in the back of my back but I hadn’t really like taken any imitative to give my pictures in. I don’t really get nervous anymore. I mean my first couple shows — I would always like be like, mom like don’t talk about it, I ‘’m so nervous like you’re making me even more nervous like asking me all these questions. But now I started like yeah, like I’m ready to go and you get excited. Like yeah, I can finally go out and do this. So we’re here now and we got to hustle in, hopefully I’m not too late and I’m — or I am going to get in trouble. I’m so happy I’m like finally getting like to know this city in which never goes this way and, yeah, Emma — Emma Bartlett. Yeah. So just trying to find my luck and see what I’m wearing. Here I am, I’m in -- I just come from a show so I have often a hair and makeup on but it looks like that’s what I’m wearing, like this the dress right here. Is pretty. This is like awesome. They have food here usually like they have never food. It’s about to get filled in. Start the process, makeup, hair, all that good stuff. And I can like taken my eyes close so what we doing on eyes and they’ll be like waiting for me to stop and like oh your eyes are closed-up like yeah, like why aren’t you doing my makeup, I just get my eyes close like it’s really for me actually. I love getting my makeup done. It’s so relaxing and like no one there felt its my time for the makeup chair. Right now I’m feeling pretty good. I’m getting my nails done —full colors, silver. I’m all done now it’s like my nails and my hair and my makeup so I have to get fit in and put my outfit and get ready to go on for the presentation. So I’ll see you guys there. Standing there for two hours is quite exhausting so I’m going to go home and pack up and see what’s on the schedule for tomorrow. Female: Right now I’m hanging out with Taylor who is modeling this great V-neck striped shirt by --. Stripes are such stable. They’re the most versatile pattern you can have in your closet. You can pair a casual stripe sweater with your fave jeans to stylishly rock at school or you can go for a little bit more of a glammed up look and a super sexy stripe dress for date night. Don’t be afraid to accessorize your stripes with a belt like Kate Moss or your stripes as your statement piece like Rihanna is her striped blazer. That was your need of the week guys.
