Dixie Chicks and Eagles Interview Audra: Full of music’s premier groups and when the Eagles and the Dixie Chicks get together fans are not disappointed. Well Natalie Maines and Glen Frey talked to Better about playing music and also playing parent on the road. Here’s Rhiannon. Rhiannon: It’s a music lovers trifecta so what brought these megastars together on one stage? Glen: I think we you know without the you know sounding too corny you know we kind of we’re kind of like real people, we play music, we sing. A lot of good tunes, they have a lot of good songs. Rhiannon: Natalie Maines has been on a 4 year break from the Dixie Chicks this tour will mark their reunion. Natalie: I’m going to be awesome it’s always fun it’s always easy to get back together and play music. Rhiannon: Although the Chicks have flown with the eagles before in concert this summer Keith Urban will join them in select cities. Glen: I’m looking forward to meeting him I mean I met him briefly but he seems like a good guy and kind of like us former hell raiser. Rhiannon: But things on the road are different now for these musicians for Natalie it’s music and motherhood. Natalie: This is a good tour for it because it’s not you know city after city after city on a bus it’s kind of perfect for kids but yours are going to come out to right. Glen: Yeah I’ll bring my kids, especially my 7 year old he loves coming on on the road with the Eagles versus black jeans and t-shirt like the crew guys. Rhiannon: And what will fans have to say about Natalie’s new look? Natalie: I’ve always liked short hair but I have given myself a few haircuts and got a little shorter, a little shorter. Glen: I think it looks cute and not everybody can wear their hair. Natalie: Thanks. Glen: You and Jamie Lee Curtis are like two favorites. Natalie: Thanks and Ellen. Glen: Oh yes.
