Male1: Other artisans are represented by cooperatives who display and sell their work along with it of course examples of how summer created.
Female: Namaste and here we do two kinds of craft. One is textiles and another is graphic. And everything into this cooperative is done by hand. The process you are looking here, the name of this—the process is known as hand black print which is around 250 years old sold out from our village.
The specialty this printing, the color what we used in this is pure ready table dyes. The first plug what you look here is known is a master book. And these are the negative lots which fill the color inside the design. Like this can be printed by anybody but to have a negative lock on, you have to be very precise and very accurate because if you put another wrong location, it can’t destroy the whole line of a fabric and whole things get it in just a second.
People without abstraction always happened but more of it can spoil the beauty. A little thing makes a same nature of hand made. This is the way fill the color inside their design. You can have a close look on this.

And then in the normal process, we have to wait for draining the one layer then we apply that another cord on. So this is here. That’s a negative, first negative here. Sometimes there are three negatives, sometimes it can go up to six negatives, depend on the design here. So you can also play and part and draw down here. That will do, select this, you can see.
The beauty of these dyes, they are all ready table colors and these colors are basically, we have taken from Mountain Ridge. We have a lot of natural vegetations there. It’s a lot of natural dyes, especially famous for dyes.
So we have lots of beautiful colors in this Mountain Ridge is to all this Mountain Ridge in the world. So beauty of this ready table dyes, the more you wash, more the color get soft and beautiful. After using 20 or 30 years, maybe the fabric can go over the color, will be still there, that’s so beautiful. And it’s good that dyes have been used everything. From this blending, you may run clothes back over table colors, cautions depending on silk fabric, cotton fabric, everything.
Apart from that, we’re going path work, you make silk fabric, and lots of things are done in here. It’s a big production for textiles you can see in this sector here in India, basically for hand craft things. So we do hand craft textiles.
So this was the textiles here and then we do the carpets and then carpets, we have name in the Guiness Book for highest carpet in the world. It’s a carpet foundation we used in carpet and the silk carpet. It can have cotton which will be known as silk on cotton. If it has silk foundation, it will be known as silk on silk.
So the quality you were looking here is bought from Marina. It’s New Zealand we have importing from. And longest fibers have a long life here for the carpet. And it’s like age of mathematics and every nut is individual. If you have a closer, slow motion, is going to show you a slow motion how we tie a nut. It’s most of jobs to pick the same backline like he had to pull one line for the front and one line for the back which will make a single large carpet. And he has to pick the back same back tread and go like eight. That’s the most part of this leaving back here.
And the way he picked the color for the mop is in a manner of song that’s color song of carpet. So this is his mop which is going to sing the color.
He memorized the colors and he does it a line. But when the carpet is wider like six by nine, eight by ten, 10 by 14, we have three, four, five people sitting a numerous respectively. And you cannot make five mops for the five weavers or you cannot even split the mop into five persons because one weaver is faster. He will go back, slower, he’s down at the moment. At the particular moment, it’s a lot of detriments.
So what we do, we have a mastery, weaver sitting on a back. On front of a loom, he assigned the separate song to the separate weaver. To the weaver who is slower, he gives the song first to the weaver who is faster and he gives the song later so that maintains a speed into the workmanship.
After completing the line, weaver has to do the compression. So now, then there are four or five weavers sitting on a loom, you have to get those people belong to same kind of physical group. If there is a disturbance, like different type of physical group people sit on loom, their compression will be different and graphic will be uneven on that. So you have to have similar physical group people sitting on a loom.
After completing one line, we would have to put a tread across the base of a carpet. Now, look at this. So that is a kind interlocking system you can see. It helps the carpet design, not to mix with each other. Lower line, one mixed it upper line, so it is kind of interlocking system. There will be always refine design every time.
This is the way we tread by special targeting ring and scissor. And all process has to be done by him. We don’t use any kind of machine. That is all we export around the world, it would be considered as 100% hand made article. So back home, you don’t generally, you don’t have to pay us on duties and we don’t have to pay any sales, stocks on our export.
Two times, we do the washing. First phase, we use caustic soda and some pesticides to make the carpet wonderful. Second phase we use hair shampoo or mild detergents. Especially with the red color carpet, we have to protect the colors not to bleed because red generally bleed in itself. So we have to put some kind of chemicals so the colors will stay there.
Taking out the extra loss treads on the backside over the carpet, also just taking the color if it is a pure red or pure silk or not because if there would be any mixing by anything synthetically carpet like extra yarn and nothing, it’s flammable go the base, damage the carpet. So we won’t add this thing on that stuff.
Another main point, it clears the unwanted loss trend which you can see over here. It’s make the carpet not like clear from the backside. And you cannot take these extra trends with the help of the scissor. So with the help of these, you take these all treads off for the backside of a carpet. After washing, after the descending is done, the washing is done, the backside will get as clear as front.
So if you have party back your home and you expect a mess, come in with dirty shoes, no need to worry, turn upside down, use like a Kilim like a tapestry and we charge only for one side, other side is free from here. Unusual thing, but it’s true. Thank you. It’s a practical way you can feel here on this area that the carpet has now natural grip also, so it won’t be as slippery as you will find here. So you don’t need to put any kind of carpet, bags underneath this.
The thing that we have here is the based of the textile which is hand block prints, and this we do back color table flats and round, rectangles always. Then these are the different kinds of bed covers and troughs. We are made in a cat work, batch work, applic, different kinds of minimal work we have done on this so you can come close here. These are some all textiles we are doing here, batch work other pieces from the old dresses. Assemble according to the color combinations like those.
This is the batch of the travel pieces. Everything will be unique, one it’s an old guide supposedly like this, you want to have another thing, the millions of dollars. You cannot have it. Another thing, this is never conveyed on owner’s pride. This is all hand crop.
