Facebook - iPhone App Update
Hey Facebook users, pay attention. There's a major update to the iPhone app and we’re here to tell you where all the buzzes about. Some apps are so hot that are act doesn’t user Aileen mess the host duke it out, see who runs the review.
This time the showdown happened between me and David Craiger. He may have internet fame under about that for facebook, I thought take my chances. The facebook app recently received a significant update and if you’ve used 2.0 version, you’ll likely agree that there's no longer feels like a water down version of viewing and using the website. So what's new in the facebook app?
Most obvious is the fantastic user interface update which has a similar field to the iPhone OS. The dashboard uses thumbnails who different facebook features plus it customise all page the user to find favorite pages. For those who needs to type or plan on extended viewing, all your content can be viewed in a landscape mode which is always a press.
When I say this app wasn’t water down version of the website, I meant it. Some of the new features available include a great chronological risk of upcoming and past events those who needs to RSVP and full list of upcoming birthdays. And if you have the type to write your dear diaries on the go, you can now post and read notes.
Now lets say you’ve got a crap little friends and things you’re a fan off. Anyone else belong to the in and out fan page. The facebook search has been invented to provide clearer results for friends, everyone and pages. Pages are becoming a big hit, if you’re an admin of one or many pages like I am. You appreciate and be able to post updates and photos directly to these pages for to see. Managing on the go really lets you live.
By the way, have you heard of the app judgment facebook fan page? You should totally become a fan just in, well notice.
Now onto the part you’ve been waiting for, what's in it for you on personal profile? With vanity at its best, you’ll enjoy these new features. Update your profile picture by choosing any photo you’ve uploaded. Zoom in on those bad boys for some up close and personal detail and you can now create at it or do albums and tags giving you complete photo management, plus your status with the photo or if you’ve got an iPhone 3GS. You can even directly post a video.
Interaction with your friends has been level two. Everyone needs a filter for mass of amounts of in flowing information. Check out this feature that lets you sort a news piece by groups. And if you enjoy giving and receiving props, the new facebook app integrates the like feature that works just like the website.
This is a self in composing app with a built-in web browser that lets you return to your feed up after visiting external links unless it’s a facebook video. We’ve rented a breaks developers hard that the new app is unable to place 0229 videos until the files are converted into a format the iPhone’s can play. And something that breaks my own heart is the lack of ability to edit my profile. I can't file a new friends and in groups and for the life of me. I still have no idea how to delete certain friends.
I missed the latest status messages that used to display on a profile right below users name and though it’s not something I personally want. Push notifications are yet to be seen. There's some bugs that either known issues are just my bad luck such as one of my favorite wall photos never displaying and I can't delete events from my feed. Well that’s was a short list I complaints.
Heres a recap of pros and cons. Pros, a brand a new UI, a vast amount Facebook features are now accessible, revamp search, more control over your profile, management of fan pages and greater interactions of friends. Cons, no video playback, you can't edit your profile, the status message is missing from profile header, there's no filing of new friends into groups, you can't delete people and no push notifications.
I give a big—Facebook, who single-handedly developed this app. He may have even made me prefer using facebook on my iPhone rather than on my Macbook. With that said, my verdict is to definitely download Facebook and let your social networking persona flourish. And if you’re not in Facebook, what are you waiting for? Come join the fun.
