Farsightedness and Nearsightedness

Dale: My name is Dale and I'm from Flint, Michigan and since eyes were contacts I was wondering what's the difference between being near sighted and far sighted? Muriel Schornack: Dale that's one of the most common questions that my patients ask me, here is an easy way to remember it. People who are near sighted can hold an object close to themselves that some distance and see it clearly they can't however see distant objects quiet as clearly far sightedness is a little bit more confusing very frequently the far sighted people who are under the age of 40 can see perfectly well far away and up close. Far sighted people however have to work a little bit in order to make even distant objects clear, the work that they have to do fro distant objects gets added to the work for they have to do for close objects and so they do have to work a bit harder than those about who are near sighted for doing your tasks.
