Fashion Designer Marcus Wainwright Backstage Interview

Go backstage with StyleCaster's Carol Han for an interview with fashion designer Marcus Wainwright at the Rag and Bone Spring 2009 fashion show.

Carol: Welcome to your StyleCaster backstage pass. I’m Carol Han and we’re backstage at the Rag & Bone’s Spring 2009 Fashion Show. So, what was the inspiration behind this collection? Marcus: Looking at English working class fashion, and going back in time, and I really like skin heads and lots to see way before our time. Their inspiration is to make Reggae music, rude boys, and French new wave cinema. I like that kind of thing. It was cool. Carol: And who’s the Rag & Bone woman? Marcus: Who’s the Rag & Bone woman? We start our women’s line to make clothes for our wives, who are about married to American girls. So that’s Rag & Bone woman. The same way that Rag & Bone guy is just us. It was just a regular guy who just like nice girls who likes nice well-made clothes and on to crazy expensive, and we make everything out of really beautiful Japanese, and Italian fabric, it's all made in America.
