Police are still puzzling through a grisly murder scene in San Francisco -- KXTV has the details.   “Police in San Francisco say five members of a family have been found dead inside of a home near City College. ... A family member walked into that house early this morning and discovered the bodies.”   KPIX explains -- the crime scene is so complicated -- police are still piecing together what happened. They say three women and two men are dead. At first, police speculated this was a murder-suicide, but neighbors and media reports are saying it could have been a robbery.   “...they have spent most of the entire day not only canvassing the home but also blocking off the area. … Police remained tight-lipped about this case only saying that some of the victims died from gunshot wounds and believe that the only intended victims were inside of this home.”   The San Francisco Chronicle reports police are trying to reassure neighbors the crime was isolated, but doing so without much information.   “... the carnage was so severe that it wasn't clear whether they had been shot, stabbed or killed another way, investigators said. … Early in the day, police said they did not think any suspect was at large, but by evening they weren't so sure.”   And the Associated Press reports --  it might be days before there’s any more information about what happened.   “Police had little to reveal about their investigation Saturday but tried to reassure neighbors and others that there was no threat to public safety. Investigators may take days before they can determine whether the suspect is at large or lying among the victims' remains, police spokeswoman Cmdr. Lyn Tomioka said during a press briefing.”
