Hey there kids! Your guitar stage here, today we’re going to learn how to play “Jumper” by Third Eye Blind and this song is in the key of C. I’m going to jump into that here; I’m looking at my chart on the screen. Open chords no need for a capo for today. So here we go, it’s going to go something like this. [Demonstration] Okay, so that’s the basic idea. Now, let’s talk about the particular rules, part of particular rule of this, all right? So we can add here the chord and we’ll talk about rhythm and all that good stuff. By the way, it makes it so much easier when you can take a look at these charts here, you can see the structure on this, I’m going to be throwing the chords, you either going to have to be jotting this down real quicker, commit them to memory or hopefully you know the song enough to where you can hear where the chord goes. I've worked with so many thousands of songs all the time and these songs are great, but I just can’t commit them to memory, because I got something in my head. So that’s why look at the charts. So check that out and also you can get your hands on this chart here the one that I did in the number system you may not know what that is, but that E-book describes it. But here we go. So the chords in this are F-C, so it's [Demonstration] an F for two beats, C for two beats, a G for four beats and that hold motif and motif is musical idea, that whole bit goes for all the choruses, I'm looking –that’s all the choruses, so you can safely go F-C-G for the intro and every chorus that’s in this, through it, it just repeats that part. And in fact, the bridge just the same exact thing. So we’d be skipping, we don’t have to learn something new there, okay? All right, so now that we’re done with that let’s talk about the verse. The verse doesn’t have any split measures. This was the split measure we have [Demonstration] 2-2-and 4. [Demonstration] Okay, there’s a split measures and we split up four beats. For the verse, we don’t have any split measures they’re all one measure per chord and it goes like this. [Demonstration] C-and 2 Gs [Demonstration] A minor [Demonstration] C [Demonstration] 2 Gs [Demonstration] for an A minor [Demonstration] D [Demonstration] C [Demonstration]. Okay so that’s how your verse would go, so it’s like-- [Demonstration] Okay, so let’s see the see if there's anything else, that my friends it’s going to be it. There is a turnaround, what we call a turnaround is a small musical part that goes in between, let's say like a verse in a chorus, in this case, it’s right after the bridge and there’s one measure of D, one measure of C and then we go back into the course. You’ll know what when you get to it, you’ll hear what I’m talking about. Okay? That’s it. Knock my jolts to this tune.
