TJ: Hi! I am TJ from Michigan and I would like to know how to treat Heel Spur Syndrome. Michael Stuart; That's a good question TJ. Heel Spur syndrome is actually inflammation of the tissues that attach to the heel bone or the calcaneus. Often times there is a not a heel spur or bony prominence involved and treatment is to reduce pressure on that area, sometimes with a shoe insert, like a heel cup also to do some stretching of that Plantar Fascial tissue, some strengthening of the foot muscles and sometimes night splints which are very helpful to eliminate the problems, so that when you get up in morning and first put weight on your foot, you don't start this inflammation process all over again.
