Holiday Stocking Knitting Instructions

This is the patter for Loom Knitters wanting their own custom Christmas Stocking. Christmas Stocking Easy, creative, and a quick project to WOW your family and friends! No pattern is written for this! I will provide a link to Bev’s Christmas Stocking in the MORE INFO of this video for those who wish to follow that instead. Bev’s Pattern is different from this due her loom size is being bigger. I am using a standard 5” diameter Loom provided by Wal-Mart. Step 1 Make two separate balls of wool for each colour you want to use. Wal-Mart’s Loom Peg’s are too spaced apart to only use 1 string at a time. We are going to use the two strings at one time method. If you want one string, you can make that call but I caution that you may be disappointed in the end because it stretches. I am using a standard 5” diameter Loom provided by Wal-Mart. Step 2 Begin by casting on the using the two strings together method. We are starting to make the brim at the top of the stocking first. Once casted on, circle the loom 29 times, EVERY TIME YOU PASS THE KNOB ON THE SIDE OF THE LOOM, RECORD IT! On the 30th circle, you will add the LEG colour you want in this picture it's a red. Adding both string with this. YOU WILL ALSO fold up and fasten the cast on the line to this. You will have a combination of 5 strings on the pegs. You will then circle the loom fastening all of it together. Step 4 Now continue to circle the loom till you get 8” long from the start of the colour, to the loom. Step 5 Create the Heel. It's really simple but I am explaining it in the very detailed manner here. You will stop 7 pegs before you reach the KNOB, Add the HEEL COLOUR OF YOUR CHOICE, if you want it the same colour, just continue using the LEG COLOUR STRING, DO NOT CUT THE LEG STRING, JUST LET IT DANGLE TO THE SIDE. LOOM 7 pegs to the knob, then LOOM 7 Pegs after the knob. You are then going to do a standard flat panel looming method. Loom Back to the knob, then LOOM 6 PASS THE KNOB… Then LOOM back to the KNOB, then LOOM 6 past the knob. THEN loom back to the knob, THEN loom 5 past the knob. Then loom back to the knob, then loom 5 past the knob. Then loom back to the know, them loom 4 past the knob. Then loom back to the know, them loom 4 past the knob. Then loom back to the know, them loom 3 past the knob. Then loom back to the know, them loom 3 past the knob. Then loom back to the know, them loom 2 past the knob. Then loom back to the know, them loom 2 past the knob. YOU ARE DONE DECREASING! Now what you need to do is INCREASE just like you decreased… in steps. So just reverse what you just did until you get to where you started on the pegs. Step 6 Grabbing the LEG yarn you let to the side. Circle the loom again continually until you get 4” long. Step 7 Change colours to whatever you want. Circle the loom 6 times! Then with your darning needle, cast off and sewing shut! Your DONE!
