Blot the liquid stain with a cloth to remove as much as possible. And start from the outside and go in so that it keeps the stain from spreading. If the stain has a greasy component, never run water over it. Instead, what you want to do is use a liquid dishwash or liquid detergent, pour it on from the back, rub it in, wait 3-5 minutes and then wash in the warmest water recommended on the care label with detergent and the appropriate bleach. Always pre-treat the stain with a product like Javex 2 Stain Fighter & Color Booster, to help break up the stain and lift it off of the fabric. Carefully remove any excess solids before blotting. Another tip for whiten stains is to apply cornstarch, Pad it on, wait 5-10 minutes, carefully scrape it away, and then wash. Unfortunately, washing with detergent alone can leave behind stain, soils, discus flakes and odors. By adding liquid bleach, it helps to break down the stains into smaller pieces, lifts them off the fabric, leaving your clothes cleaner and whiter. And here is a tip for dark colors. Always turn them inside out before you wash and dry them. That will keep them looking newer, longer. So, to help keep your colors looking bright, here is what to do. Start the washer, always use the warmest water recommended on the care label, add the detergent, add a product like Javex 2 Stain Fighter & Color Booster, wait a few minutes, and then add the clothes. And for the whitest whites, simply add liquid bleach to the bleach dispenser. If you aren't sure whether it's okay to use liquid bleach on an item, try my simple bleach ability test. Simply dissolve two teaspoons of liquid bleach in 60 millimeters of water. Take a drop apply it to a hidden area of the garment like a seam or cuff, wait a minute, blot it dry. No color change means it's safe to use liquid bleach on the item. While liquid bleach can be found in laundry rooms across the country, most Canadians don't realize that there is more to liquid bleach then just keeping your socks and underwear looking really white. Liquid bleach is a very versatile product. In fact, it can be used in nearly every room in the house. In fact, you can clean and disinfect your bathroom, deodorize your kitchen clothes, keep flowers looking fresher longer, and rid hard plastic toys of bacteria.
