How to do the Scorpions

Coach Verstegen shows another warmup exercise, called the Scorpions.

Our next exercise is called Scorpions. It's going to stretch the muscles of your upper body out, the rotators of your torso, your hip flexors and activate your glutes. It looks like this. Jacqueline is going to roll right around the court. She is going to keep her arms out to her sides and she is going to reach her back heel up toward her opposite hand by firing her glute. This will stretch out the muscle of the upper quad, hip and the front of your torso as well as your chest. She is going to repeat that to the other side. Now as we start to do these 8-12 repetitions or gradually you can make them more and more dynamic overtime. So Jacqueline reach a little higher and little higher, dynamically stretch that muscle. This is Scorpions.
