Let me tell you a little bit about finding the right employer. It's all about the right fit. What's the number one reason that employee stay or leave a company right now, it's their manager, so let's take this opportunity, you're in your job search mode right now, find the right manager, find the right job, and find the right company. How do you go about doing that? Right now it's all about the people connection. It's all about networking, and it's all about doing your research and finding out, what are the fields that are currently hiring? What are the hot fields that have job openings? What are the companies that are doing well, they're physically sound; that are healthy and growing? And then who do you know that works inside of these companies? You can find all that out in LinkedIn and Facebook and Twitter. You can go to your professional association networking meetings, you can keep in touch with people in your community, and find a person who works inside the company, then find out who’s the hiring manager for that position. Find out a little bit about the inside scoop, what's their management style? How do they value their employees? How do they reward and recognize their employees. And if this is congruent with the way you want to work and how you want to be treated in employment situation. It's all about that fit, it's got to be the right company, the right manager, and the right job, with the right job requirements. What are your passions? What are the values? What are your strengths? What are your skills, knowledge and abilities? And how you can put all of that to very, very, very good use, because if you're doing what you love and what you do well for a company that’s doing well, working for a manger that treats you well and respects you and gives you that opportunity to have the resources and the tools and the support to do your job well, you will be really, really happy in your new job. And career contentment is what it's all about now. Love your work and be happy in your job.
