How to Get the Mad Men Look

Daily style blogger Jessica Schroeder walks you through a Mad Men style guide and shows you how she wears the Mad Men trend with a 60s thrift store dress, vintage gloves, a retro belt, and modern accessories.

Ciara: The fashion experience is like no other and for me as an artist, I get inspired from fashion. Jadyn Maria: I think Tony Cohen is amazing. I’m actually wearing one of his spring pieces so I’m honored to be here. Frederique Van Der Wal: I really love his designs. I’m going to wear a lot of Tony. Tony Cohen: Short, body conscious, we have a couple of really skin fitted skin tights. Does it with the bias which means that the dress really glitch the body. It feels as a second skin, there’s a lot of white, there’s a passive green little bit of gray quite neutral. A lot of embellishment. I’ve never in so much embellishment in my life. Love the feathers, love the crystals. The whole beauty looks a very clean, clean pristine look, a futuristic silver pale face. Molly Grad: I’d started off thinking about the see and the sand and dessert chase and really interpreting it and the more abstract, autistic way. White and then sand tones and then all of a sudden you have a splash of blue and then you have the very flattering red shades and then the evenings which where very sort of you know, black tones, gun metal embroidery. The look of makeup was slight tan, very healthy, just a slight glow. Amanda Setton: Jill Stuart, I love her stuff and she’s a really, really great designer. Shenae Grimes: I feel like I can wear her clothes during the day when I go out at night, you know its’ very to wear. Nigel Baker: Big fun of Jill Stuart. I bid you a show for the past five seasons. Leigh Lezark: I love Jill’s so much. Jill Stuart: Color is really fun this season. I did a lot of electric blue and red fuchsia and I think its fun to wear a colored for screen. I think I’m mixing the feminine with the hard. You know like the hard and the soft and absolutely love the denim with the jersey with the black meadow mash. And the makeup was also very black and just in the corners’ of the eyes and the rest of the face was very simple, no lip, no –just foundation, just very natural.
