Lawn sprinkler systems have become very popular in most parts of the country. Of course, proper maintenance is a must. Now here are a few tips how to get the most out of your sprinkler system. Keep all grass and dirt away from the pop-up type sprinkler heads, so that the movement of the head is not affected. Also, occasionally adjust the travel and speed of the sprinkler head. This will give you full coverage of your lawn. Also, another good tip is to clean out the dirt from the inside of the sprinkler heads, this is done by removing the head and flushing it out with the water hose. Now as your plants and shrubs grow, it may also be necessary to extend the vertical sprinkler head. Now this is easily done because most sprinklers are plumbed with a PVC pipe. So you simply cut the pipe, add a small section of piping, glue it together and this will allow you to get maximum efficiency from your sprinkler system.
