How to Have Your Own Patron Margarita Mix Off Elad: Hi, my name is Elad. Gabe: My name is Gabriel. We have a company called Bar Lab. Elad: We’ve been mixing cocktails in Miami Beach for over a decade. Gabe: And Miami Beach has a Cocktail Culture of Design. Elad: And we have to show what it’s all about. Gabe: It is in Miami Beach Cocktail Culture. We’re here in Cocktail Culture and we’re doing a special episode this time. Here, I got mixology guest, Kevin Patricio. So you have a cocktail you want to do, right? Kevin Patricio: Well, this is Margarita I do at my restaurant in New York called Choptank and it’s just a little reap on a traditional margarita. To start out like take a few fresh sage leaves, and you can even use a stem because we’re going to strain it out. So you really want to get a nice herbal quality in the drink. So I’m going to add the ginger now. I just get in there and you can just start mashing the ginger goes pretty quickly. Now you can add the honeydew because that’s going to actually impart a decent amount of liquid into the cocktail itself. We need two ounces of patron and then rather than using like a Triple Sec I’m going to actually substitute that Triple Sec with canton which is a ginger of the core and then you cannot margarita without lime juice, right? Gabe: Absolutely. Kevin Patricio: And then always what’s good on the palate and good for the nose and also this should be visually stimulating for the eyes so, a nice beautiful sage leaf. Gabe: Amazing! So Elad, what you want to do? You want to do a twist in a Miami Cocktail Margarita? Elad: Yeah. I think we’re going to do like maybe like sweet pepper. Gabe: So we’re going to get one of those but they’re really sweet and they’re organic pepper. We’re t going to lightly boil that one or we’re just light a fire a bit of it. Elad: Nice. Gabe: We want to go coconut. Elad: Yeah. And use -- Gabe: We’ll do it for coconut water. Elad: There we go. Gabe: There we have coconut water, so we have some of that tangerine juice, a little bit of agave juice. Elad: Lime juice as well. Gabe: And now I am not forgetting where we going to use the Reposado. I got with the raspberry here. Kevin Patricio: That’s beautiful guys. Cheers! Gabe: Cheers! Elad: Cheers! Kevin Patricio: Now, it’s for you. Elad: I’m going to drink as sure as you can. Kevin Patricio: So which one? Gabe: I don’t know since it so called. You’re going to decide, you know? Kevin Patricio: It undecided. But you at home can go on to PlumTV.com and choose which is the right margarita for you and learn how to make these delicious cocktails.
