How to Identify Magnolias

Dave takes us to see some spectacular magnolia trees: A Leonard Messel, a Centennial, and a Saucer magnolia.

[Music Playing] Alright, you might think at the following plant is a Dogwood but it is actually a Magnolia. It is a Leonard Messel an absolutely beautiful pink Magnolia, and it is actually carrier award winning plant as well the reason is given the carry word is because it does particularly well in harsh windy climate and just look at this unbelievable color. I mean this is a spectacular tree. We had to just shoot this and show this to you. The colors, is amazing against the blue sky, and certainly if you have space in a sunny spot in your yard for a great tree, this is the one you want to have for an early bloomer. Okay, so we have already shown you one Magnolia, Take a look at Centennial, this is amazing. I mean, it excites me to see something so beautiful and of course this going to flower for a couple of weeks. Look at the white; it is amazing with the blue sky. To me it has a tiny little bit of a very, very fresh scent but this is another great tree. If you got some space in your yard, an entry way pulling in down a driveway, to have something like this in front of your house is just spectacular. And, we are going to take a look at one more Magnolia. You may see this down in Common Wealth Avenue if you ever traveled to Boston, but we will show one that is out here in the suburbs. Alright, Magnolia number three, these are the Saucer Magnolias, and amongst this huge tree. You might see this downtown Boston, Common Wealth Avenue they lying in the area in April and in early May, just looking spectacular. Again, one of this will look super in your yard you do not have to be in the middle of the City. You could have one of this in the middle of the suburbs. You just need a lot of space for it, obviously a pretty big tree. Get a Magnolia for your property; they really will bring you some early season joy to your yard. [Music Playing]
