How to Interview Someone Pt. 2

A short explanation on the best tactics to be used when conducting an interview.

Set it up and maybe, you know, set it up enough and maybe you want to try to explain yourself a little further and that is leading in the discussional, style, discussion based style, some people do not like that, some people just want the interview with asking question and just get out of the way. I think that is interesting, sometimes I do that, it depends on my mood, depends on the person I am talking to. If I want to feel like I am getting value out of interviewing somebody. I am doing it for myself as well as for my audience. So that you know why I tend to have more conversation with these people then I do if they are being interviewed or interviewing them and it is discussion that I am just interested in being more part of the discussion rather than one way conversation and you know, you could define an interview, it is one way and some else is going to have different expectation. Your audience’s overtime is going to learn to expect something from you and a certain style from you, they may like it or they may not. You know, you are comfortable with it, you know you are ultimate going to make, you are the person, the subject of the interview, comfortable as well and there is a lot of ways you can do that ultimately comes back to you. Least about the other person more about you and your style and how you defined your style you know if I get invitation to interview people all the time and sometime I do and I get invitation to be interviewed and I just said I just catch me on the web. Ask me a question and we will; talk about it and I want to set it up either I go on wait to long or they do want to talk and you know I am not feeling like it is adversarial and that is usually happens when I have no relationship with the person who is interviewing me. You know I want to know who is interviewing me and I want to know that they have done their home work on me and atleast enough I mean their times, there is exception to that role. But I think definitely tell when someone wants to interview me you know if they just done a research in wikipedia or whether not the event falling you know for extended period time and that is always. We all make those mistakes but you know if someone who is always done it because he wanted to. I take a different force to it and if I were getting paid by a I guess a company to do it for them. You know I have a certain style it is very relax and I give that style over to the person I am interviewing if they are not going to be relax it is not going to work no matter what you do. And you have to figure how is going to work for you because I could see here and tell you how I do it and infact that I pretty much did. You know a sense of humor learn as much as you can about them just talking in doing a pre-interview just discussing things seeing are they a cold fish are they you know so energetic whether their you know what really gets some going. You know are they stress or they not stress a stress person is the worst interview because they have a million other things going on their mind and they are going to be a lot more adversarial than someone it just completely relax and it is got all the time in the world to talk to you their so many situation that are just you know they are just different and I do not know. Maybe I guess I have a top five list but then again I guess I am answering this question much like I do in interview I just talked about and talk it through you know thinking about my own style. You got a ultimately find your own style and that is what people down to.
