How to Keep Your Browsing Private - FireFox Welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I'm Veronica Belmont. Have you ever upgraded the FireFox 3.5 yet? Well, if you’re a fan of Chromes Incognito mode but don’t want to leave FireFox, you’re on luck. FireFox 3.5 has a new feature called private browsing. Just press control, shift P or click on the tools menu and select start panel at browsing. FireFox will save and close your current tab and start anew of the record session. Your search history, forum entries, cookies and visited web pages won’t be recorded. When you’re done just press Control-Shift P again, it will go back into the tools menu. But remember that doesn’t give you a free pass to browse without consequences as Mozilla tells you private browsing prevents information from being recorded on your computer. It does not make you anonymous on the internet, so whether you're just in the library and want some privacy or if you don’t like your girlfriend to know you’re shopping for engagement rings.
