My first reaction after watching Scott story was that, Scott is a little bit of dichotomous thinker
that is he thinks in either black and white terms or nothing kinds of terms. So that can something
be a little bit dangerous for somebody who is trying to loss weight some times predicts relapse.
Scott mention one really wonderful and important thing, he really tried very hard to find healthy
foods that he really likes so that will be easy to include them on his diet. And that something
many people don’t do especially when they by commercially, prepackage food, diet food or
drink diet shakes most people are never going to eat those forever or drink those shakes forever
and when they finish losing weight they don’t know how to prepare food in the creep portion
sizes or select the right food. You could learn how to do this why are you losing weight and send
to much better chance of keeping that as a habit afterwards which for prevent for gaining weight
again. Scott, I’m all of the treats that you use to eating before and that is important of kind of all
these high calorie foods that are not of high nutritional value. However if the situation arises
where you can have one of those foods in a very, very safe way so that the calorie amount is
small then you can feel more normal you don’t have to feel like you can never have these foods
again.
Scott mention that he was doing calisthenics and yoga as his forms of exercise and those are very
good things to do however in order to keep weight off in particular you need to burn more
calories with your exercise because the role of exercising weight maintenance is to erase little
mistake that we make. It would probably very valuable for Scott to add some aerobic exercise
that is makes you breath hard and prosper.
Looking at Scott’s video I worry about his ability to keep weight off, he loss 45 pounds in three
months and his actually losing weight and that is not very healthy. The medical recommendation
for weight loss is no more than 1% of body weight per week and he was losing 5.7% of body
weight per week. The chances of being to stay with that kind of diet over the long term are not
very good. I would suggest that he pay attention to how many calories he needs to consume to
loss weight at the reasonable rate and then he needs how many calories he needs to have to
maintain as he reduce weight and then plan his diet around that number.
