How to Make Chicken Fajitas

Thanks for checking out another episode of Fix My Recipe. I’m Chef Billy Parisi and Lowes Foods has an awesome new meal solution. We’ve got a little Latin kick, some chicken fajitas with the side of black beans. I know you’re going to love them.
Since your chicken fajitas are going to be sauteed, the first thing we’re going to do is slice in dice up our vegetables, give those peppers and onions and nice Julienne cut and we’re actually going to Julienne cut our chicken. Put them on separate bowls, get them ready to cook.
Everything is prep and ready to go. It’s time to get our sauté on so in a hot scale. We’re going to add in some vegetable oil and we’re going to add in our chicken to let’s just about cooked.
Once that chicken is about done, we’re going to go ahead and pour in our peppers and onions, get a real nice saute on this as well. We’re going to saute those vegetables and chicken for a few more minutes. And to keep them warm, we’re going to put top on. Believe or not, we are almost finished with this recipe. We’re going to add some black beans into a small sauce pat, cook them until they’re warm and we are going to hit up our wheat tortilla shells. It says you use wax paper and you know what, if you don’t? Fine, use damp paper clause, put them on the bottom, put them on the top in the microwave only for 45 seconds.
I don’t know about you all, but at this time, my kitchen is smelling fabulous and it is time to put this together. So we are going to layout our wheat tortilla, put in our chicken, pepper and onion mixture. And right on top of that, we’re going to put whole cilantro leaves, a little bit of salsa and some avocado and I’m going to get started on this. There’s so much flavor in this dish. You are absolutely going to love it and you saw how easy this came together.
