Looking for a fun way to present gifts to your friends, I've got a great idea here where you can decorate your own wrapping paper. What you're going to need for this project is some objects that will print, ideas you can use empty spools of tread, you can use sponges, you can use beads, you can use old buttons well print depending on, you know the flatness of the button. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you how easy it is to cut out your own little designs from just a simple piece of sponge that you have in the house. And then how you just hot glue it onto a piece of cardboard so its easy to print with it. And I'm going to show you another easy way just to use—this is a bead that I had and I even found some buttons that were shape like stars so we can print some stars. So I'm going to go ahead and get started here. And if you just find some kind of a marker it’s really easy to draw your shape okay on the sponge. Alright we could do a circle, we could do a star even though we have the buttons. I still show you how easy it is to cut to cut out a piece of sponge. Okay one thing you want to make certain is you're cutting straight up and down trying up to cut in an angle. Now I'm going to try and do you hear as I've chosen this side I just want to kind of even out my edges so that when I do print they're not going to be real angular. Its not going to be a perfect circle but with basically what's going to happen is this little piece of sponge here. Its just going to get hot glued onto a little scrap of cardboard just like so. Because when you do this it just makes it a lot easier to dip in your paint and then print on the paper just like this. In that way you don’t get your hands don’t get so dirty and then you don’t get fingerprints allover your tissue paper. Okay, so there is a little circle, this little spiral is what I use to print this one here, I use this little button here to make my stars, and I will show you how I did this one. I actually find a little block of wood and I just hot glued it. So that id be able to have a little stamper here so I could go in the paint and on the paper easily. So I'm just going to take one of my stars that I already have. And I'm just going to take a bead here that I have and I'm going to hot glue my star right on to the end of the beads. So I have a little stamper made, okay so that was pretty easy. I found another bead that just has you know a circle we can try then and see how that looks or we could use for—I think maybe we’ll use it for another star here. We’re just going to hot glue this button and I want to make sure the flat side is the side that’s going to touch the paint because one side is a little bit curve and the other side is flatter on the button. And see now, I've got a little printer that’s easy to go in the paint and then on your paper, okay. Lets say you want to cut out a star, I drew a star on here and I am going to cut this out carefully, okay. So here we have a little star and I would just hot glue to this on to the little scrap of cardboard and you can make as many different kinds of stamps as you want, you can even carve erasers. Like I've said anything you can find at home that you think its going to make an imprint if you push into paint. Alright, we are going to go ahead and start to do some printing here. I've got my paint, I have my stamps and I have some paper plates to put the ink on and I also have a scrap of paper that I can test out each stamp and make sure that I've got enough paint on it and then it actually works. So lets pick out some colors that are going to look nice with the pink. And I'm thinking the purple and the white, so lets do—lets try white first. And I think what I’d like to do is actually use the spiral. So we’re going to mix up our paint and just going to do a practice one I know its white on white but I can actually see it. I don’t too much paint so this is probably a good consistency because you don’t want your colors—you don’t want to lose the spiral shapes if you got too much paint on there its kind of blob together. So I am going to go ahead and start the printing and each time you want to go back to your paint. Okay, now I'm going to turn my spiral the other direction and you have to line things up and hold your paper at the same time. So that when you pull your stamp off and you're going to wrinkle up your paper a little note that maybe helpful you don’t have to use paint necessarily if you have a lot of stamps. Maybe you make your own greeting cards you can use your little ink pads and your stamps and you can still create your own designs on your tissue paper. So you don’t necessarily have to you know get sponges cut them up, there's always variations on any of these projects. Okay there's our last one at the white spirals so I'm going to set this aside and go to another color and a new paper plate. Lets just try the star I know they're too big for here but I just want to see, I'm going to show you some of the different, okay. So there's a star, okay, so these are just some possibilities of items you can use to print. Let’s see how the circle looks. And that really gives you that spongy look as you can tell it’s a sponge. So there you have it. I think we’ll just go ahead and do, lets do the little stars. But I think I'm going to use the open star. Basically, what you are doing is your creating a pattern and this is what I call a random pattern. Where it’s the spacing is they're not—there are rows that alternate basically, you know you could do them in straight rows with all they're all line up if you wanted to—you can use more than two objects there's all different ways to create patterns. But basically you’re creating your own pattern and design and creating your own stamps. That wraps it up.
