How to Manage Your Inbox We have some info on the Palm Pre at long last, how to preserver your DNA forever and how to manage your inbox pandemonium. Its Tuesday May 19th, I’m Natalie Del Conte and its time to get Loaded. Yesterday, Sprint and Palm officially announced the date for the Palm Pre, they’re saying that it will be out on June 6 for $199.99 after a $100.00 rebate with a two year contract on Sprint everything data plan. The song will be sold in Sprint stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack, and Wal-Mart and online, my major reaction is that $200.00 is competitive but it would have been nice for them to price it before iPhone especially considering it has so little internal storage and the iPhone comes with at least 8gigs. I don’t expect them to give the thing away for free, I’m just saying. Microsoft is looking to make a magic wand and I’m not talking about the kind with a phoenix feather in it. A patent has been filed for something called Magic Wand, it would allow for a rich interaction with your environment and kind of your electronics. Kind of like a motion controlled computing or minority report kind of thing, it would even recognize your hand versus someone else in your households hand, of course this is just a concept to this point but the project is code named Newton. iPhone data plans maybe getting cheaper soon, rumors are flying that the iPhone data plan could drop by a whole $10.00 per month which would put it at $20.00 per month for unlimited data. Of course these are pipe dreams but this news is getting quite a buzz so keep your fingers crossed. They are going to start charging for online news, this is surprising, we don’t know exactly when or how much they’re going to charge, we just know that it won’t be a free model anymore in the near future. Now I’ve realized that the newspaper business is short on cash these days but the question is this, will the Mercury’s content be so superior that you just have to pay for it because you can't get it anywhere else. I am doubtful that readers will follow through on this but good luck to them anyway. How’d you like all of your genetic data to exist in one big database? So far 13,000 people have done just that. They’ve volunteered for the personal genome project and donated genetic material for a huge data base which will feature their photos, personal and family history and details of any genetic deformities they may have. The goal is to have 100,000 people eventually, I’d do it if you would to, go to personalgenome.org. With the right gimmick, just about any cool cat can become a Twitter superstar and by cat I mean literally a cat as in feline. Sucking Tin is a cat with over 500,000 followers on Twitter, Sucking Tin’s owner is Jason Scott who runs TextFiles.com and whether or not he is the man behind the Tweets such as stalking deadly pillow enemies and socks seems to be a popular subject on Twitter now. Okay, today on the CBS early show I did a segment with Maggie Rodriguez with five tips for managing your inbox, take a look. I am particularly in managing my own inbox but while researching this segment, I practiced what I preached and cleared the decks on over 300 Gmail messages, 200 corporate emails and 1,123 Facebook messages, it felt great.
