How To Mix: The Loop Function on a Sample

in this video I'll give a demo on using a in-loop sampler on a DJM-400 mixer.

Alright folks, Jonathan here. Someone ask me to give a demo on this guy here, mainly, the in loop sampler. An in loop sampler is basically something that will sample the music and installed inside the mixer itself. So, we will do a quick video I hope and give you a general idea of what to do, how to do it and what you can do with it. Hold tight. Alright, here we go folks. Now, bearing in mind, this is a demonstration on how good I am at using this sampler. This is a demonstration on the basic functions on how you can use it and hopefully, you will be a lot better than me. First of all, let us listen to the actual music (Music playing). Alright, the track delays here and it is entitled hideaway. Now, we got one, two, three, four, five, this are basically banks and we can have five different samples in each of this particular banks. In fact, we can have delay hideaway in number one, number two and we can have another track in number three. We can have another track in number four and another track in number five. So, you can alternate in between all of this. The first thing you need to do in this case because, it is an ongoing mix. We will just play the music (Music playing). Now, what I am going to do now, I am going to press the on/off button starts flashing (Music playing). Now, with the in loop sampler selected, the channel selected on channel two, because this CD player here is now on channel two and this is the one we want to sample. The level depth is set to half way on the beat, I am now going to press one of this buttons (Music playing) and there you go with sample (Music playing). If I press it again, the sample will stop, but the sample is now in that bank. Now, we can do exactly the same with another one (Music playing) then you get sample together and now I can press it again (Music playing) back for the music. So, we now have (Music playing) now we can sample again (Music playing). Now we have three samples (Music playing) and again (Music playing). So, basically, now to start the sample, there are already samples. I press the button and then the light flashes while the sample is being played. I was to stop the sample, I will press the same button and then we go back to the music that is playing (Music playing) This is a basic video number one in utilizing and looking of the sample effect, the in loop sampler on the pioneer DJ and 400.
