Sarah: Hey everyone welcome to Diet.com video. I am Sarah host and I am with Stephen Cabral Body Transmission Expert, and I have a very important question for you today Stephen. What is the number one rated ab exercise of all time? Stephen Cabral: Well just recently there was a new study published that said the bicycle vrunch or bicycle crunches was the number one ab exercise ever. So the reason it's said that is because it engage the most amount of abdominal muscle, transverse abdominis, rectus abdominis in your obliques, so really get in the muscle firing as long as you keep tension off the whole set. We are going to go through that today and show you how to do that. So what you need to do is, lift the legs up at the right angle, hands are to the temples, so that we don't pull the head and I want you to stretch out one leg, either leg, okay. So now we are going to pull the left elbow up to the right leg as it comes in and then coming back down slowly and switching back over. So we want to make sure is that we are coming back straight and then we crunch up and turn and bring the elbow into that leg. What I see happen a lot of times is in the way, people do this wrong, is they rock side to side and that's why they can do so many reps is because they are not keeping tension on their abs . You are coming down straight; you are coming back up and then twisting at the ends. Good, so side to side and if you can do more than really 24 to 30 reps, you are doing too many, you want to crunch up hard, keep contracted as high as you go, and then come back down slowly and repeat, the small turn and that's it, good. So the number one rated ab exercise, bicycle crunches. Sarah: Cool, and hope you guys have enjoyed this Fitness video and don't forget to subscribe to our channel by DietHealth and we'll see you next time.
