Hey what’s up guys, you guys have been requesting this one a lot, so I figured I gonna do it for you, but, it’s called Addicted by Saving Abel, and the tab I have here, I kinda made it my own. If you really wanna play this song correctly, you should play in drop D tuning, if you’re just screwing around, you can play the whole riff, and you can actually play the chorus in standard tuning, but I really haven’t taken the time to figure out the bridge, and figure out the, well the bridge you can do the standard, but the bridge, or the verse, like the pre chorus, and that ain’t standard, so I would suggest putting your guitar on drop D, here’s how the song’s, kinda give you a little preview for it. That’s just kinda a little intro, but, the whole kind of basis for the, that intro is the D minor chord, alright. So a D minor chord open sounds like this, you can hear the, so what I want you to do is take your middle finger first and you’re gonna put it on your one, two, three, four string up from the top, which is actually your one, two, third string up from the bottom, your G string, alright, 2nd fret middle finger. Then I want you to take your ring finger here, put it on the 3rd fret of your B string, which is your second string up, your two string, and then your high E, your first string, pointer finger’s 1st fret, okay. So, what I want you to start out is, you’re gonna play the D string, you’re gonna play the G, the B, and you work your way down the high E. When you play the high E, your playing on the 1st fret, you pull off. And don’t just lift it up, okay, try and pull down. If you lift it up, it gets a lot quieter, if you pull it down, or push it up it keeps the same volume, alright. So, start out here on the D string, you’ll play D – G – B – high E, after you play that, pull off, I play the B string again, okay, so the tabs over here from youtube down here from the website. Go to the website if you’re not, please. Alright, that’s… see… yeah, I just come back up. I play the D – G – B – high E – pull off, and then I play back up to the B – G, okay, just kinda fill it in, if instance I’m playing in my acoustics. And then what you’re gonna do is take this, this middle finger and you’re gonna put up here on the A string, 3rd fret, so the four base notes is this, the next time our bass notes gonna be 3rd fret on the A string, okay. So you’re gonna go… so instead of playing the, the A – D – G – B, you’re gonna play A – G – B – high E – pull off, okay. So… it’s the first tab, after you play that, your pointer finger, you want to put it back there, now you may have to wait to put it back, wait here until you play this note, but I can kinda reach it so. Your next bass note, you start off the second part of the riff with is that 3rd fret on your A string, it’s a C note, okay, so… skip that D string, play the G – B – high E – pull off – and then back up through the B – G, okay the next note is the 2nd fret of the A string. And then after you play that last part of the riff, the riff is exactly the same, okay. Every part of the picking and pulling off is exactly the same, except the first time through you play the open D as your bass note, the next time through you play 3rd fret A as your bass note, and the third time through is second note, 2nd fret A. So it’s like this… sing on it, I’ll emphasize the bass notes. Okay, so it’s… and then the way they do it in the song, is they just play like the A string and then the D and G, I don’t like that, I like to use to the bar chord which will be the B flat to the C, I’m sorry. Is that right? B flat, yeah, alright. So you got your B flat to the C bar chords, okay. So all together… remember when you play this bar chords, you want this low E string to be muted, okay, so… that’s good enough for muting. And I’m just muting it by having this pointer finger kinda rest up against side. Not on it, but the side of it, okay, so one more time so you can hear it. Sorry about that, I messed up. Just kinda like that, alright. That’s the most difficult part of the whole song. After that for the pre chorus, you’re gonna do this four times. So after he stops at doing that intro, the… after he stops doing that, the chorus is, since you’re in drop D tuning, I think I mentioned that, you’re in drop D tuning, it’s above D, D – A – D, okay. You can play the power chords, which means you just play. You can pull the top three chords, top three strings, it’s the same chord, it makes you good. Same fret make same chord, so, you’re gonna play top three strings open for 8 times, so…. Really it's just the full measure, so… down – down – up – down – up – down – down – up – down – up – down, that’s how I play it, I play it, down – down – up – down – up – down – down – up – down – up – down, then, you bar across the 3rd fret strings and you go, down – down – up – down – up, 5th fret, down – down – up – down – up, then four times, that’ s the pre chorus, alright. It sounds like this… alright. After that on tab you’ll notice a little riff, the guitar two now plays, you’ll recognize this, it’s something like, something like that, but you’ll recognize it, it’s kind of terrific echoes you like the guitar plays. Alright, Chorus, the chorus is just really strumming the open. Then on the 3rd fret and then 5th fret, so it’s… so how I play it, this could be wrong. Figure out, you’ll be able to figure out the strumming and what goes where on your own, alright. I kinda push you to work on this on your own, this video. But, alright, so you’re gonna play it open, down – down – up – down – up – down, 3rd fret, down – down – up – down – up – down, then the 5th fret you’re gonna go, down – down, 3rd fret, down, 5th fret, down, 3rd fret, down, 5th fret, down, open, okay, so together this… okay. You’ll figure that out. Then the bridge, okay, there are a bunch of bridge parts in here if you’re playing three guitars, the part I want you to focus on it says, bridge/lead/way1 bridge, alright. It’s the first way; it’s the way I play it. Okay, so you start on the A string, you’ll play it open, then you put your middle finger 2nd fret, then you put your ring finger 3rd fret, then as soon as you do that you’ll play the A string, I’m sorry the D string, okay. And you’re gonna play the 2nd fret, and that is covered by the middle finger. So you kinda walk it up on the A string. Then once you get to the 3rd fret of the A, your middle finger comes down and play the 2nd fret D, then you play the G string open, then you move your ring finger, I’m sorry, middle finger up here to the 2nd fret in your A string, and you play A – D – G, and you strum the D, G, and B strings, okay. And you’re in that D minor chord, you just don’t strum the high E, then, you go back to the first part of the intro, okay, so together it sounds like this… see. Alright, and then the second line of that sounds like this, okay. You’ll gonna be able to recognize that too. The tabs all there, there are a lot of other different little guitar one parts. I’m gonna highlight, okay, if you see text in bold that’s stuff that I thought, if it is not, it’s other stuff you can add in, so, good luck with it guys, hope I helped, I think most of you just wanna learn how to play the intro anyway, so, good luck.
