[Music Playing] This drill is a drill I recommend for the older players. I was a young players not to work on because they have tender age. They could cause some damage to their arm. This a three part drill working on curve ball. The first drill we do—you can do it anywhere in a car, if you are not driving in a back seat, sitting home watching TV. We are going to work on getting the proper spin and snap for the ball. Notice that I am pulling down with my middle finger or my second finger and I am rolling my thumb. So, that I get to snap sound. I want to get a good tight spin working on the ball. We want a good tight is on the curve ball. We you get a good tight curve or spin you are going to have good curve ball. One of the things you do not want to do is kind of to push it out. Work on a good tight snap. [Music Playing] The second part we work on with the curve balls what we call the karate chop and you can do this again sitting on your couch or anywhere. You are going to start just mainly thinking draw some action. And you going to say to yourself fast ball, fast ball then you come to the curve and what we do is we change the angle of our hand. This is for the curve ball right here. Fast ball, fast ball curve and what we are going to do is just come around karate chop. Work on and get a good karate chop, side to the hand and then we are going to finish it off. [Music Playing] The last drill what we would do is step here is basically takes the ball. You can do it for it for the wind up. You can do it from the open stance position. Go through you r motions that slight shift you away. Throw the ball and throw it in the dirt. Work on getting a good tight spin and it is better to start the curve ball from a dirt off then it actually starting it in zone high working it down. So, what we are going to do is just throw it in the dirt, work on a good tights spin and you have to develop that. A caution heavy arm of slight bent in the elbow. Finish all the way through what we do not want to do is the high per-extend you up here. You want to be here with the L. Do not hook the ball. A lot of guys use to hook the ball. That is going to tell the graft to pitch but a curve is coming. Again it is like the karate chop here, snap, slight bent in the arm takes the stress off the elbow. Work on those three things and they will help you greatly improve your curve ball. [Music Playing]
