Hi, my name is Mark Boudreau and I am from Spectrum Auto Painting & Collision Center. Today, I am going to show you how to change a headlamp bulb and tail lamp bulb in your car. I am going to walk you through the whole process from removing the bulb from the vehicle, accessing the bulb, identifying what kind of bulb you are going to need for replacement and then reinstalling to complete the job. Here is what you are going to need; protective gloves, the specific bulbs to fit your vehicle's application and a safe place to work. Be sure the vehicle you are working on is off, in park with the emergency brake on, out of the sun, free of any traffic and you should be working with the electrical system, having that key off or power disconnected to the device you will be working on is critical. Remember, most modern headlamps are pressurized either halogen or xenon, so wearing protected gloves and handling them with protective gloves or a clean cloth or paper towel is a also a must. Before we begin, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am an I-Car trained ASE master certified collision and refinished technician I own Spectrum Auto Painting & Collision Center in Arlington, Virginia. Just outside of Washington D.C., where for the past 15 years we have been D.C.'s premiere cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons for automobiles. Now, let us get started changing the headlamp bulb and a tail lamp bulb in your car.
