How to Tie on a Sari - Putting on the Sari

We are taking the sari off Monica and I am going to show you how to put it on properly. So first of all, you take the end of the Sari from the right side. Make sure that lengthwise is facing up and I am going to tuck it in, in the right hand corner of your hips. Now, usually this is where you begin but sometimes putting it on is a matter of trial and error. So, this time we are going to put it on from the back. And after you started tucking it in, you want to make sure that it does reach the floor and then you do it all the way around. And then once you get to this end here, you are going to stop tucking it in. Now, we have reached the end of it. Typically, you will go up to the right hand corner of your hips. Now, once you get here, the next thing you are going to do is you are going to follow the length, the horizontal part of the Sari. So, you just follow it straight to the end. Monica, thank you. Now, you are going to go all along into the end until you meet the corner of the other side of the Sari. So, when the horizontal end meets the vertical, you are going to pull the vertical side or the shoulder side up. So, it is facing upwards towards the ceiling.
