How to Wear Red Eyeshadow

Check out a muted and understated way to wear red eyeshadow

Hi, I’m back. Today, I wanted to show you how you can a red look on your eyes without it being overwhelming because a lot of people do think that bright red eyeshadow which I personally love, but a lot of people find it to be overwhelming. So, today I used Cranberry. So let me just zoom in a little. If I used Cranberry on the lid which is a very gorgeous sort of plumy red and I used Sketch in the crease which is a very, very gorgeous dark, dark brown red. And that is it and I hope you keep watching and enjoy and subscribe. There are more make-up tutorials coming. First, I’m going to take Cranberry and put it all over the lid except for the outer third. Taking that just pass my crease, like that. Then, I’m going to take Sketch and put it on the outer third and start to shape the outside of it. Use the corners of your brush like that and then just blend the two in. Then you can go ahead and start on your crease. Then I’m going to take my 222 and actually do my crease with Sketch, apply it first and then blending it out. So then, you have the basic shape of it. Blend on the top a little bit more and refine that a little bit more. Make sure they’re blended. Then I’m going to take a dark brown and add just a little bit more of that to the outer and the crease and a little bit more depth to the Sketch, like that. Then I’m just going to take a fluffy brush and blend out all the harsh edges with my highlight. Dab it on first and just blend it out. Clean up the edges a little bit. And you might want to go back over your crease one more time if that deleted the crease color a little bit, like that. And then I’m going to take my liner and do my bottom. Blend that out a little with my finger, and take that dark brown color that I added to Sketch and blend it on top of it. Maybe joining those two, there you go. All the color is done, and you look like you did a lot more than you actually really did. So, then I’m going to just line starting in the outer corner and just kind of blending it into center. More so just about defining the lashes instead of making the eyes themselves look light. Here we pat that down a little bit, thin it out and just add a little wink, like that. Very natural, just adding to your lashes and you can go ahead and clean up any fall out you have with your kabuki. Brushes are perfect for it, tap away, brush away that excess that they don’t mess up your face makeup, and I’ll be right back because I want to do my waterline and mascara. Okay, I’m back with waterline lined and with mascara. And for cheeks, I’m just going to use a muted pretty pink this is Hints by Barenaturals just put that on the apples dab it and then tap with the extra, that’s leftover and blend that out. And normally, at the beginning of the day, I like to put a little bit more blush on that I would like because it does fade away and that’s why I just found that it looks better in the middle of the day, but if you immediately start out with way too much on like I do just take your kabuki. Once again, it’s going to save us and blend that out, there. It’s still rosy, but not all over the top, and for lips I’m just going to use Blankety also by MAC. Blankety is a great new color for people that want a nude lip. They don’t want it to look washed out. And now, I’m going to use just the NYX lipgloss and this is Sunshine right over the top of Blankety and that is it, and like I said, I hope that this is a good introduction for people into red eyeshadow it’s nothing to be afraid of, but I will be back with you guys soon.
