Apple sues HTC to stop android, the daily show leaves Hulu and TiVo announces new DVRs. It’s Wednesday, March 3rd, I’m Mark Licea filling in for Natali Del Conte this week, it’s time to get loaded. Last night TiVo announce their series 4 DVR’s the Premiere and the Premiere XL. Our executive editor John Falcon was there, take a look. John: these are TiVo’s fourth generation products, their cable car DVRs that include incorporate a lot of web video into the TV interface as well. So the key advantage here is HT interface and unified search. The TiVo already had a some very robot search functions but with series for Premiere, they’re really trying to kick it up and make sure when you search for program it comes up whether it’s in your upcoming program listings or available on Amazon, Netflix, Youtube or Blockbuster. It already has RAPSODI Pandora is coming later this year. Like past TiVo’s the Premiere box will also double as network media streaming devices as well. Now these TiVos, previous ones are Ethernet only. TiVo will be selling a wireless USB Wi-Fi down you all to get along with them separately. Another cool accessory is the Cordi Remote it’s a Bluetooth remote, you slide it open just like a smart phone and you can type on it do your search in there instead of using a clumsier on screen keyboard interface. Right now looks like TiVo is sticking with its fee structures so in addition to that upfront 300 dollars for the 45 hour Premiere 500 dollars for the TH check certified 150 hour Premiere XL. You’ll also going have to pay a monthly, yearly, or lifetime fee on top of those prices. The sue was filed in the US International Trade Commission in the US District Court in Delaware in an alleges that HTC violated 20 of Apples patents.
