Hysterectomy Recovery - Ellen's Story

Description

Ellen shares if her hysterectomy recovery was difficult and how she handled it.

Transcript
No. Basically, I had had, from gastric bypass surgery many years ago, I had lost a lot of weight and so I had a tummy tuck from the top of my stomach and from hip-to-hip. So I had already been through serious abdominal surgery and had a leg up on all the things that would come with that, as far as getting up and getting out of bed and moving, walking the dog, getting up and down the stairs. I was already a step ahead so that was a pretty easy transition for me to go back in and have abdominal surgery. It’s, as I understand it from most people it’s much more difficult than I went through, in the sense that you do have to figure out the ways to move comfortably, get back in your cycle of doing things, get your energy back. I think that’s something you just kind of pick up after the surgery.
