Transcript
Eric Moro: Hey guys, Eric and Matt here were providing you with rewind theater trailer commentary for the final falling Tron Legacy trailer.
Matt Fowler: And here we are sort of going quickly to the back story which leads up to our advance or worth some plan and basically we are being— I would set I guess we would saying abandoned by his father but his father disappeared and it’s been a long for about 30 years, here we see the clips from the original Tron of Jeff Bridges becoming CEO of ENCOM.
Eric Moro: Yeah you know a lot of this video is actually been played out in some of the trailers in the past, we’ve already done some rewinds on them you could see him in the playlist to our right here so I’m going to actually scroll forward to the first kind of new thing in this trailer. And that’s going to be right here, so first let’s start here. We seen Sam kind of come to his father arcade, we seen him you know investigate and get sucks into the computer world.
Matt Fowler: Yeah, yeah. Inform us laser boom! But here this is Sam emerging inside the computer world and you could see this is a replica of what’s looks like Flynn’s arcade but—
Matt Moro: And this is a yeah, a cyber stimulated building that it looks just the one he want into. And there is a new version of the classic interceptor and they’re going to sweep around for programs to play in the grid games. And here are the Sirens the sexy sirens and there job is to prepare to program to compete in this games.
Matt Fowler: Yeah I think it’s important to note that he enters the cyber world in his street close and then he is actually dress by these ladies into what we loosely called the Tron guard.
Matt Moro: That’s right. And he put this with the disc on his back.
Matt Fowler: Right, which basically stores of the knowledge that he acquires while he is in the game world and yet something interesting and know about the suits.
Matt Moro: Yeah, there costumes are all self eliminated so the lights are built into the costumes him selves.
Matt Fowler: Where is in the old Tron movie they going into a hand.
Matt Moro: They have to paint over.
Matt Fowler: Yeah.
Matt Moro: And I here you see a Sam reuniting with his father and this is the safe house and Kevin is found refuge in the outlands of the grid he created which no other program can get you so he sort of safe there.
Matt Fowler: So only Kevin and Sam technically and get through this.
Matt Moro: And court, court— yeah she can get her too because she can drive this tumbler.
Matt Fowler: Now I’m going to scroll back and stop here for just quick of second, is sets to be a modified version of the— I don’t know the exact name of it but I call that it’s a stream sailor from the first Tron movie to see that the sails of the front in of the ship and what it would do is with kind of rise up and connect with this data stream and then write along it.
Matt Moro: Yeah, you can see them right now a sort of the outlands and a head but it glow is grid city. And that’s Winstler and he sort of a clue who develop on the piece is Jeffrey as a 35 year old man and that his main henchmen and the champion of the grid games.
Matt Fowler: So he is basically—
Matt Moro: Various yeah.
Matt Fowler: That’s clue right?
Matt Moro: Clue is a— was Kevin’s a computer alter ego who has turns against them and we don’t know why although.
Matt Fowler: But I am stopping here just to— so we can really get a kind of up-close and personal look at the CG technology used to create a young Jeff Bridges.
Matt Moro: Jeff Bridges played the rule, they change his face up but they kept all of the emotions of his acting and they used the body to double a young man to sort of step in there and be the body of clue.
Matt Fowler: I’m also going to stop here because these guys are really cool; you call him the black guard right?
Matt Moro: He is the black guard, if you see orange these are the warriors and enhancement of clue, clue themselves is yellow but the soldiers are orange and you see they have built and wings to there back.
Matt Fowler: Yeah they basically kind of our sky diving out of an interceptor and from out of suits pop this like wasp or beetle like wings and even the mask I mean look at there helmets that’s kind of reminisce of a beetle or a wasp.
Matt Moro: Yeah a lot of the program if they sort of anonymous drawn programs they don’t really have the face and they’re all coming up.
Matt Fowler: So we got some more to great games here, pretty exciting stuffs.
Matt Moro: It got to leave you a wild cyber warrior’s core and she is kicking some butt and you can see the black cards here.
Matt Fowler: Yeah and you can kind to see the wings that we saw on the other shot on there back as well, the folded up wing.
Matt Moro: Yeah, yeah and now you could see there is our clue writing the cycle and he is all in yellow.
Matt Fowler: I’m going to stop here to this tattoo, it’s like a cyber tattoo we have no idea what its stands for or what it means?
Matt Moro: It means number sever with frog rise.
Matt Fowler: Exactly, that’s obviously important though if it’s in the trailer so— and this guy I’m going to stop here because that’s clue a very angry clue and it looks like he has discovered Kevin Flynn safe house.
Matt Moro: Yeah and he is not too happy about discovering it or his choice of server ware.
Matt Fowler: I’m also going to stop on one more shot here and this is this kind of solar, solar plane like that or light planes they call them. But what’s cool about this is you could see the pilot. The plane actually kind of comes up and builds itself around.
Matt Moro: A part of the new vehicle design for this film, you could see them a light cycle as well its that the rider and there are flyer of this vehicles and sort of integrated into the machinery.
Matt Fowler: And clearly they’re chasing, it looks to be Kevin here right or Sam.
Matt Moro: Or Sam or some good guy because they’re on blue.
Matt Fowler: Well I guess we’ll find out coming December but I can’t wait to see this movie in 3D.
