iLife '09 - Unboxing

In this unboxing video watch me unbox the iLife '09 software and give first impressions.

Hey guys, Jon Rettinger here. I've got an unboxing for you of iLife 09 and yes it is just unboxing some software, so I can't promise the most exciting insinuating video but I will do my best to entertain you. Let's go ahead and open this thing up. Here's the bag from the Apple sort of the camera and while I'm opening this up I'll tell you guys a story. So I went to my local Apple Store to get this. It was just right by my house and as I was paying for it, the guy was looking at me funny. And then finally he said, “Are you the guy from the internet?” So it’s kind of flattered I said, “Yeah. I'm Jon Rettinger from Jon4Lakers.” So he looked at me straight on said, “No, that’s not it” and he keeps staring at me. I thought, “Hey, maybe I went to high school with the guy.” He looked about my age and he said, “You're that Chris Pearl guy aren’t you?” I was a little bit embarrassed but definitely humbled at the same time, so it’s nice to always stay grounded. The guy have no idea who I was and just remind me of kind of what's going on for situation is. So that’s my funny iLife stories, let me go ahead open this up for you. I went and got the family pack and since I am a student as some of you guys know I'm in graduate school I was able to get a student discount of family pack. So with order it would have been $99.00. It came out to be about $79.00 beforehand so the same price the regular. Forget mine as logo we’ve generally make is a family pack like you saw it on the MacBook, the iMac and girlfriend’s computer and a few others. Let's go ahead and open this thing up. Here it goes, it’s iLife on the front, pictures on the back, iPhoto 09, your photos by faces, places and events. iMovie, I'm excited to give that a whirl. I used that quite a bit, GarageBand 09 I have zero musical abilities so not so concern about learning how to play the guitar from John Myer and looks like that is iWeb with some on the music because there's the sticker. So let's open this thing up you got the small knife here to do with. There we go, all right. I tear off the plastic of the side and let's find out, really fun stuff to find out. It’s hard to spice up than you expect. There you go, push on. Designed by Apple in California, really nice job done sending a box I guess. I must take a team of 12. There is the disk. That’s probably about it and let me see if you got some stuff up here. I think they brought the Apple stickers, installing iLife, get the most out of your photos and take a trial of iWork to do that with most of the iLife disk. Maybe I'll try with iWork to give it a whirl, I don’t know. So here we go. I like it. There's nothing terribly excited. I want in solid and use it and I'll give you guys of course my impression on the whole suite. I hope you guys enjoy.
